Travelling the World with Litejam: A Vintage Guitar Store Surprise in Paris

One of the most rewarding parts of building Litejam is having the opportunity to travel around the world and meet guitarists from every possible background. Every trip reminds us that music is universal, but the way people connect with guitar is always unique. Whether it’s through large international guitar shows, small local communities, teachers, performers, collectors, or complete beginners, every conversation gives us a new perspective on how people learn, practice, and experience music. This time, our journey brought us to Paris.

Like always, we were excited to explore the local guitar scene beyond the events and exhibitions. One of the things we enjoy most when travelling is walking into independent guitar stores, especially the kind of places filled with personality and history. During our time in Paris, we stepped into one of those stores almost by accident, and it quickly became one of the most memorable moments of the trip.

The shop itself immediately stood out. Vintage guitars lined the walls from floor to ceiling, each one carrying its own story, character, and decades of musical history. The atmosphere felt timeless — old amplifiers, worn wood finishes, classic tones, and instruments that clearly had been loved and played for years. It was the kind of place where every guitar feels alive, where tradition and craftsmanship are present in every corner. What made the experience even more special was meeting the guitarist working there.

From the first conversation, it became clear how passionate he was about music, instruments, and the culture surrounding guitar playing. We spent time talking about different approaches to learning, practicing habits, performance, and how technology is slowly changing the relationship people have with instruments today. Moments like these are exactly why we love travelling with Litejam. Sometimes the most inspiring encounters happen completely unexpectedly. What fascinated us most was the contrast between the environment around us and what Litejam represents.

On one side, there we were surrounded by vintage guitars — instruments deeply connected to the history and tradition of guitar playing. On the other side, Litejam focuses on pushing guitar learning into a more modern and interactive direction through LEDs, visual learning systems, and tools designed to make practice more engaging and intuitive. And yet, instead of feeling like opposites, both worlds complemented each other surprisingly well.

As many of you already know, Litejam was created with the idea of making guitar practice feel more visual, motivating, and accessible. Whether it’s practicing songs in real time with GlowTab, exploring custom chords, learning scales, understanding fretboard patterns, or simply making practice sessions feel more immersive, our goal has always been to help players stay inspired and connected to the instrument for longer.

Seeing someone so connected to vintage guitar culture become genuinely curious about Litejam was incredibly meaningful for us. It reinforced something we strongly believe: innovation in music does not replace tradition — it builds on top of it. The guitar world is constantly evolving, and every generation discovers new ways to interact with the instrument while still respecting everything that came before.

One of the biggest lessons we continue learning during these trips is that there is no single way to experience guitar. Some players are deeply connected to classic techniques and analog gear. Others are excited by technology and modern learning tools. Most guitarists exist somewhere in between. That diversity is what makes the guitar community so special.

Every conversation, every opinion, and every piece of feedback teaches us something valuable. We genuinely love hearing different perspectives because they help us improve Litejam and better understand what players actually need during their learning journey. Whether we’re speaking with professional musicians, teachers, collectors, hobbyists, or beginners picking up a guitar for the first time, every interaction helps shape the future of what we are building. Experiences like this one in Paris remind us that Litejam is about much more than technology alone. It’s about connecting with musicians, discovering new communities, and being part of the wider culture that makes guitar playing so inspiring across generations and countries.

We’ll continue travelling around the world, visiting guitar shows, meeting incredible players, and putting Litejam into the hands of guitarists of all kinds. These experiences constantly inspire us and push us to keep evolving everything we create.

🎸Stay tuned to the Litejam blog to discover more stories from our travels, more amazing guitarists we meet along the way, and much more about the future of guitar learning with Litejam.
