Meet the New Litejam Neo S and Neo T: The Next Generation of Litejam Electric Guitars

For the past few years, the Litejam electric guitar has been helping musicians discover a different way of learning, practicing and playing. We've taken that original idea to guitar shows, stages and events around the world, meeting thousands of players along the way and listening carefully to what they wanted from the next generation of Litejam. Now, after all that feedback, testing and development, we're excited to introduce the Litejam Neo S and Neo T, two new electric guitar models designed to take the Litejam experience even further. Alex MayBe has already had the opportunity to play them on stages in Thailand, and after previously falling in love with the original Litejam electric guitar during Music China in Shanghai, even he admits that choosing between the new Neo models isn't easy.

One of the biggest areas we wanted to improve was the overall hardware and playing experience. Both new models feature upgraded hardware, including Wilkinson hardware, while the bodies are designed with different woods and specifications to give each guitar its own character. The development wasn't only about adding features or changing the appearance; we wanted the instruments to feel better in your hands and give players more possibilities to find the sound and playing experience that suits them. The two Neo models share many of their core specifications, but we deliberately wanted them to feel different rather than simply creating two identical guitars with different shapes.

One of the most interesting additions is the new toggle switch, which gives players more options when shaping their sound. Instead of being limited to the five positions available on the previous design, the new system gives you two different sound options within each position. That means you can move between brighter tones and sounds with a little more body while experimenting with the same basic pickup configuration. For us, this is an important part of what makes a guitar feel personal: technology and hardware should give you more freedom to discover your own sound rather than forcing every guitarist into exactly the same setup.

But sound isn't the only thing that makes a guitar feel right. A huge part of designing the Neo S and Neo T was thinking about how the instrument actually feels when you're playing it. Even when two guitars share the same pickups, hardware, body and wood, they can feel completely different in your hands, and that's something Alex noticed immediately when comparing the new models. The shape of the guitars was designed to create their own identity, with particular attention paid to comfort and the way the instrument sits against your body. One of the new shapes gives Alex more freedom when playing, especially around the area where the body meets the player, making it feel more open and comfortable whether you're practicing or performing.

That attention to ergonomics is especially important because Litejam isn't designed only to sit on a guitar stand or look impressive at a guitar show. These are instruments meant to be played. Alex has already taken the new models onto stages in Thailand, giving him the opportunity to experience how they behave in real musical situations rather than only in a controlled demo environment. The result is an upgrade that isn't simply about changing specifications on a product page; it's about creating guitars that feel natural when you're actually holding them, moving with them and playing music.

At the same time, we know that many Litejam players already love the original electric guitar, and that's something we never wanted to ignore. The Neo S and Neo T aren't designed to make the previous generation feel obsolete. Instead, they represent another step forward for players who want something different, while giving existing Litejam fans more choice. Maybe you loved the original Litejam immediately; maybe you're looking for a different body shape, a different feel, or more tonal possibilities. That's exactly why we created two new models. We want more guitarists to find the Litejam that feels like their instrument.

And, of course, both the Neo S and Neo T remain part of the wider Litejam ecosystem. The illuminated fretboard is still at the heart of the experience, giving guitarists a visual way to approach scales, chords, progressions and musical concepts while they practice. The goal has always been to make the process of learning and improving more accessible and motivating, while still giving experienced players an instrument they can simply pick up and play. That's something Alex also emphasizes in his experience with the Neo Acoustic A1: even with all the technology and features available, you should always be able to turn everything off and simply enjoy playing the guitar. The technology is there when you want it; the instrument itself remains at the center.

The launch of the Neo S and Neo T is also part of something much bigger for Litejam. The Litejam Neo Series is now live on Kickstarter, alongside the new Neo Acoustic A1 and the brand-new Neo Bass. We're not just introducing one new guitar—we're expanding the Litejam family and giving musicians more ways to find an instrument that fits their style. For the Neo S and Neo T, the first production allocation is extremely limited, with only 100 units of each model planned for September 2026 shipping before the following production allocation planned for later in the year. Because Kickstarter fulfillment follows the order in which backers complete their pledges, backing early gives you the best opportunity to secure one of those earliest production slots.

After years of building Litejam, meeting guitarists around the world and learning from the community, seeing these new models finally become a reality is incredibly exciting for us. The Neo S and Neo T represent the next step in our electric guitar journey, but they're also an invitation for more musicians to discover Litejam for themselves. Whether you already own a Litejam, you're discovering the brand for the first time, or you've simply been waiting for a guitar that feels a little more like you, we hope you'll get the chance to try the Neo S and Neo T and find your favorite. The Litejam Neo Series is now on Kickstarter, and this next chapter of our journey is only just beginning.
