Bands & Artists – Simple Plan: Jet Lag & Welcome to My Life
Welcome to Bands & Artists, the section of the Lite Jam blog where we dive into the music that shaped who we are — the songs that made us feel understood, the bands that inspired us to grab a guitar, and the artists who continue to fuel our passion for music.
This space is all about community. It’s a place to revisit the bands we grew up with, to share tutorials, tabs, covers, and stories connected to the artists that mean the most to us. Whether you’re just starting to play or have been jamming for years, Bands & Artists is here to celebrate the music that moves us.
We’re proud to open this section with Simple Plan, a band that left a deep mark on pop punk and on our own musical journeys. We’ve created two posts dedicated to two of their most powerful tracks: Jet Lag and Welcome to My Life. From New York to Manchester, these videos were recorded directly by the Lite Jam team — because we want to bring you real content, straight from the shows we actually attended. It felt like the perfect way to introduce two quick tutorials for these iconic songs that still hit hard after all these years.
Both songs are perfect examples of how Simple Plan managed to combine energy and vulnerability — a combination that speaks to so many musicians and listeners alike. Whether you’re learning these songs for the first time or coming back to them with nostalgia, they’re a great reminder of why we started playing music in the first place.
This is just the beginning of what Bands & Artists will become. We’ll keep posting about more legendary bands, guitar heroes, and the music that keeps us inspired. But we also want this space to be shaped by you — the Lite Jam family. Let us know what artists and songs made you fall in love with playing!
Let’s keep the passion alive — through learning.
Welcome to Bands & Artists.
