When a Guitar Hero Visits Your Booth: Meeting Bodyslam's Yod at Guitar Summit Bangkok
One of the most inspiring moments we've experienced since starting Litejam happened at Guitar Summit Bangkok, when we had the opportunity to spend some time with Thanachai "Yod" Tantrakul, the lead guitarist of the legendary Thai rock band Bodyslam. Some moments at guitar shows are exciting because of the crowds, the performances, or the new products on display. Others stay with you for a completely different reason. This was one of those moments.
For anyone familiar with Thailand's music scene, Yod is much more than an exceptional guitarist. Over the years, he has become one of the country's most influential rock musicians, inspiring generations of players to pick up the guitar and pursue their passion for music. Knowing that someone whose playing has had such an impact on so many musicians stopped by our booth was something that genuinely meant a lot to everyone on the Litejam team.
The moment felt especially meaningful because Litejam itself was born in Thailand. Although we've spent the past year taking our guitars around the world—attending major events like NAMM in the United States and Music China in Shanghai, while meeting thousands of guitarists from every corner of the globe—our roots are still here. Returning home and sharing what we've built with one of Thailand's most respected guitarists reminded us just how far this journey has already taken us.
If you've followed Litejam for a while, you've probably seen many of the videos we share from guitar shows. Every event brings curious musicians to our booth, eager to experience the illuminated fretboard for the first time, ask questions, try new features, and simply enjoy playing. Those moments are what make traveling to these events so rewarding. But every now and then, someone walks through the booth whose influence reaches far beyond a single conversation. Meeting Yod was one of those unforgettable experiences that motivates us to keep pushing forward.
His visit also came at a particularly exciting time for Litejam. As we're introducing the new Litejam Neo Acoustic A1 and opening reservations for the first 500 early supporters, having someone like Yod spend time with our team felt like a huge vote of confidence. Moments like these remind us why we started this project in the first place: to create guitars that inspire people to play, learn, and enjoy music in new ways, no matter where they are in the world.
We're incredibly grateful for Yod's visit, and we hope it's just one of many memorable encounters we'll have as Litejam continues to grow. Every guitarist who stops by our booth, whether they're picking up a guitar for the very first time or have spent decades performing on stage, becomes part of the journey we're building together.
The launch of the Litejam Neo Acoustic A1 is getting closer, and we're incredibly excited to finally put it into the hands of guitarists around the world. If you'd like to be among the very first to experience everything this new guitar has to offer, now is the perfect time to reserve your spot. The first 500 reservations are available for just $0.99, and every early reservation unlocks an exclusive $200 discount when the Neo Acoustic A1 officially launches. As an added bonus, those first supporters will also receive priority shipping, so they'll be among the first musicians anywhere to start playing.
