Tutorials – EP.02 | Joe Satriani – Always With Me, Always With You

Learn Joe Satriani’s “Always With Me, Always With You” with Litejam

We absolutely love Joe Satriani, and his music has always inspired us as guitarists. His melodies, phrasing, and emotional depth are truly incredible, and we wanted to share a small piece of that inspiration with the Litejam community. For this post, we’ve chosen one of our favorite Satriani songs, Always With Me, Always With You, and created a mini tutorial to help new guitarists start playing his music.

The idea behind these tutorials is simple: to give beginners and intermediate players a chance to dive into songs they love while learning with Litejam. In this case, we’ve prepared two videos. The first video is a slower, step-by-step Play Along Tutorial of a selected section from the song. The second video is at normal speed, allowing you to see the song played naturally and get familiar with its flow. This slower version is perfect for practicing the movements and notes carefully, especially if you are just starting to explore Satriani’s style. Using Litejam makes learning much more engaging. The RGB fretboard lights up to show chords, scales, and the correct finger positions, so you can see exactly what to play in real time. For this tutorial, we focus on the B major scale, which Satriani uses in this part of the song. Watching the lights and following along with the TAB on screen can make learning faster, easier, and a lot more fun. Whether you’re a beginner or someone with a few years of experience, Litejam helps you visualize the music and play with confidence.

We’re excited to keep creating content like this for the Litejam community. One of our goals is to discover which artists and songs the community loves most, so we can make more tutorials that everyone will enjoy. From classic rock to modern favorites, we want to provide lessons that let you experience the music the way Satriani does, but at your own pace. By using the features of Litejam — from Chord Mode to Scale Mode and even Performance Mode — every tutorial becomes an interactive experience. These tutorials are not only about learning songs; they are about inspiring the next step in your guitar journey. Seeing the notes light up, understanding how scales are applied in real music, and following along with a song you love can make practice sessions much more motivating. Plus, it’s always amazing to play along with music from one of the guitar legends and feel your skills improving as you go.

We hope you enjoy this mini tutorial as much as we enjoyed making it. Try following along with the slow Play Alongfirst, then challenge yourself with the full-speed video. And don’t forget to let us know which artists and songs you’d love to see in future Litejam tutorials. Your feedback helps us create content that the entire community will love, and it’s always exciting to see everyone learning, practicing, and performing together.

Check out both tutorials, practice the B major scale, and let the music guide you!

We are incredibly grateful to our amazing Litejam community! Your enthusiasm and support inspire us every day. Thanks to you, LiteJam continues to reach more guitarists and has been featured as a “Project We Love” on Kickstarter. This is such an exciting milestone, but the journey doesn’t stop here. Until October 3rd, we have the chance to grow together and bring LiteJam to more musicians worldwide. Every piece of feedback we receive helps us improve, and we’re thrilled to create tutorials, features, and content that truly serve all guitarists, whether beginners or more experienced players.

As part of this journey, we invite you to explore the exclusive rewards on our Kickstarter — they’re our way of saying thank you for believing in LiteJam from the start. Your support allows us to keep creating tutorials like this one, breaking down incredible songs such as Always With Me, Always With You, and making learning fun and accessible for everyone. LiteJam was born out of our love for music and our desire to build a connected, inspired community of guitarists.

It’s a pleasure to share this tutorial with you! We can’t wait to bring you more in-depth tutorials of even more songs and artists, always keeping our community at the center of everything we do. Thank you for your support, your feedback, and your love for music — we’re counting down to October 3rd, and we’re excited to finish the Kickstarter strong with all of you by our side!

We’re excited to share one of Joe Satriani’s most captivating live performances — Always With Me, Always With You. This recording is not only a fantastic example to study the nuances and dynamics of the song, but it also shows how a master guitarist brings emotion and expression to every note. Experiencing his live performance gives you a new perspective on phrasing, tone, and stage presence that can inspire your own playing.

🎸Dive in, follow along, and let Satriani’s genius guide your fingers across the fretboard — it’s your turn to explore and create!
